“Ah Chang! Ah Chang!”
Nie Chang dashed into the room from the other side of the house. “What happened?!”
“Come look at this!” Su Yan pointed at the screen of his notebook with an excited expression. Continue reading
Ten minutes later, Mister Su sat at the table in the kitchen and stared at Nie Chang hatefully. This guy! Even if he didn’t understand what his son had meant when he talked about a ‘second account’, he still wasn’t an idiot! If this guy was here in the morning, not wearing a shirt, and his son was lying in bed without clothes … then there had to be a reason. And the only reason he could come up with wasn’t anything he liked.
Nie Chang didn’t bother to explain anything either. If Mister Su didn’t understand what had happened the previous day … Ah, well, that was impossible. There had been a few hints too many to get it wrong.
Nie Chang just put an additional bowl of egg-fried rice on the table before he sat down. He smiled at Su Yan and picked up his chopsticks. “Isn’t it nice that your father came by?”
Su Yan pursed his lips and grumbled something that didn’t sound too nice. He didn’t think that it was nice at all for his father to drop by in the morning without warning. He had still been in bed! And naked! What was good about that?! Continue reading
In the kitchen, Nie Chang paused with the towel in hand. Who could this be? “Ah Yan?”
“You go and take a look!”
Nie Chang frowned. He wasn’t really sure if he had heard that but even if it wasn’t, he should do so. Most likely, Su Yan still hadn’t crawled out of bed for breakfast. He should just check who it was and sent the person on their way again. It was probably just one of the neighbors who had run out of salt or something.
He wanted to grab a shirt first but it seemed their visitor hadn’t brought much patience with them. The doorbell was rung again. Nie Chang sighed. Well, there was nothing to be ashamed about having a well-defined body.
Su Yan felt like crying. So his problem had been that he wrote the wrong thing? Thankfully, the system had asked him to write bl novels! If he had continued to write fanfictions, they would never manage to buy the house! Ah, at least it had turned out well in the end. Now, he could earn money. Their house shouldn’t be far away anymore.
He closed the website and returned to the system. It was great that he could earn money with those ads but if this way wasn’t reliable like the system had said, then it would be better if he had another way to earn money. After all, he didn’t want to wait forever until they could buy the house. A few weeks were alright, maybe he would even be able to wait a few months, but more than that wasn’t okay! Nobody could expect him to put up with that!
He clicked for the next part of the task.
[The usefulness of advertisements depends on many things and may not be high especially in the early stages of your writing career. Earning a few yuan might already be an achievement.]
[There are different ways to earn money through writing. Which ways are available to you and which of those will benefit you the most, will depend on how far you have gotten in terms of the size of your reader, as well as how much effort you want to invest outside of writing.]
Su Yan frowned. He didn’t want to put in effort outside of his writing at all! If he wanted to, then he could get a job where he wasn’t paid by Nie Chang and do that one. He wanted to just write and get money for that. Was that so hard to understand?
He wasn’t happy with what the system had shown him but he still read on. Who knew? Since there were several ways there should be at least one that fit his purpose.
[Judging the host’s skill level and the size of his readership it is suggested to start with the simplest way: Gaining a percentage of advertisements shown on the website where the host’s stories are being displayed.]
When the first sunlight shone into the room the next morning Su Yan grumbled. He pulled up the blanket that Nie Chang had picked up from the ground in the night and buried his head under it.
Nie Chang opened his eyes and smiled. Ah, today was such a wonderful day. They should get up early and go to sleep late to enjoy it as much as possible. He reached up to the little mountain on his chest and patted it.
“Mn!” A paw slapped onto his chest, telling him that this wasn’t a good time to show his affection.
Nie Chang continued to smile brightly and rubbed the blanket. “It’s Friday, darling.”
“I don’t care!”
“Ah? But I’m really happy. How about getting up early and doing something fun?”
Su Yan pretended … for another twenty seconds. After that, he only clung to Nie Chang’s shoulder, trying very hard not to sound like Xue Chang Fu. He had to save some dignity! He definitely couldn’t let Nie Chang think he was anything like that bastard.
Nie Chang certainly wasn’t thinking about that. In fact, he was quite happy not to think at this moment. With Su Yan not interrupting every ten seconds, the mood he had wanted to set all the time finally set in, making them forget everything around them. For a short while, there were only the two of them and the heat their bodies generated. They both panted and sweat ran down their skin but they didn’t care.
Nie Chang laughed despite himself. In fact, once he started he couldn’t even stop. He doubled over and put his forehead against Su Yan’s shoulder, his body shaking with laughter until tears welled up.
“What … What are you laughing at?!” Su Yan slapped his boyfriend’s shoulder but Nie Chang still didn’t stop. “I’m saying the truth! You can try it yourself if you want and see if it feels better for you!”
“I’m … I’m sorry … darling.” Nie Chang said so but he still continued to laugh. Ah, he wasn’t doing this on purpose! He just couldn’t get over it. Why did his darling have to be so blunt? Everyone would have to laugh in this situation! Continue reading
Nie Chang blinked and opened his mouth but no sound came out. What?
“Didn’t you hear me?!” Su Yan anxiously tugged at Nie Chang’s wrist. “I don’t want my nest to creak! Just put all of it on there!”
Unfortunately, his boyfriend still hadn’t gotten over this newest shock. He had always thought he understood Su Yan very well after all these years of being best friends but … since they had gotten together he felt more and more often that he hadn’t seen the true depth of Su Yan’s quirkiness yet.
“What is it? Can’t you see?” Su Yan hurriedly spread his legs and rolled as far up as he could. “Is this better? Can you see now? Or do I need to spread them more? Do you want to stuff something under it?” Continue reading
With an even worse outcome presented to him, Su Yan forgot about the spitting bird for the moment. Right, right, it was great that Nie Chang’s nose was alright. Nothing spoke against doing it now. In that case …
Su Yan turned his koala mode back on and hugged Nie Chang’s neck again. When Nie Chang raised his brows, he smiled brightly. “Isn’t that what I’m supposed to do?”
“Mn … I guess so.”
The two of them looked at each other and finally both turned their faces away. Nie Chang couldn’t help but be rueful. Hadn’t the mood been quite good before? Maybe he should have gone for the nest immediately instead of insisting on playing around first. Then again, he wanted that this was nice for Su Yan too. He didn’t want to be the type of guy who only thought of his own pleasure. Continue reading
