Su Yan and Nie Chang arrived at the boutique Zhi Bao Yu had recommended. It didn’t look much different from the second shop. The boutique was at an intersection with broad shop-windows on both sides that showcased a few of the designs already. Most of it was decorations though.
Su Yan perked up. This really looked good! Asking an experienced woman for this kind of thing had still been the right choice!
Su Yan hurriedly pulled Nie Chang into the shop. He didn’t even wait for him to open the door even though it was obvious that Nie Chang had intended to do so. Being faced with such enthusiasm Nie Chang only smiled wryly. He really was curious what Su Yan had planned. Continue reading →
Just to make sure that nothing went wrong Su Yan actually made another copy before looking at the places with flashbacks more closely. Soon enough, he noticed that he had quite the big problem: The whole story was more or less a flashback!
Su Yan rubbed his head, making his hair stick out in all directions. “Shit!” He had originally started with a short scene of the time when Yun Bei Fen was raging because of Mei Chao Bing’s kiss and only then told how it had come to this. “I definitely can’t leave it like this.”
He pursed his lips and copied the old first scene. This shouldn’t be too difficult. He just had to paste it before the last scene between the kiss and Yun Bei Fen’s final approval. With that, the story would progress linearly again. Continue reading →
Su Yan’s lips curled in amusement. Most likely this was what Nie Chang had always felt when seeing him. Being in love but knowing that it was really dumb because the other person never seemed to reciprocate your feelings or even did something like Yun Bei Fen that might indicate he didn’t like you …
Su Yan’s smile slowly dimmed. Oh no! Nie Chang had probably felt bad the whole time. He really should have noticed sooner! Maybe he, too, had said things that had unintentionally hurt Nie Chang?! Ugh … He was such an idiot! Continue reading →
Su Yan grit his teeth. Damn. He felt like these two characters would also make a good novel. He knew he didn’t have much of a clue in regards to romance but weren’t most romance novels accumulations of miscommunication and misunderstandings? At least, he always felt that way when watching movies with Nie Chang.
Come to think about it … Could it be they had mostly watched romance movies?
Su Yan suddenly sat up straight. Oh god! It couldn’t be that Nie Chang had really tried to send him one hint after the other and he hadn’t noticed?! No! This was impossible! It couldn’t be that he was like these female leads he had always bitched about because he felt they were so dumb! Continue reading →
Su Yan sat down in front of his notebook again, his fingers itching to just continue the story. He knew he had to take a moment to sort his thoughts, though, or else he’d need double the time to edit everything.
He did like the beginning but it might be a bit hard to make this into a romantic story in just five thousand words. After all, the beginning alone was over five hundred.
“The problem between them is clearly a misunderstanding but it shouldn’t be hard to clear that up. Someone with a saintly character like Yun Bei Fen would certainly continue to try and make friends with Mei Chao Bing, regardless of how he treats him. And Mei Chao Bing probably wouldn’t be that angry if he hadn’t had good feelings for Yun Bei Fen before. I should use that.” Continue reading →
Su Yan didn’t even take the time to think things through. He sat down at the kitchen table, opened his notebook and started writing:
[“Bastard!” Yun Bei Fen kicked the door shut while his shoulders heaved up and down. He was sure he heard that person snicker on the other side before he strode away.
If anyone had been able to see him like that, they would have been appalled. Was this really Yun Bei Fen, the model senior martial brother so many of them looked up to? The person who never got angry regardless of how much you taunted him? The one who had just stood still when a junior martial brother had taken up a sword last year and attacked him?
What could have made that saintly person this angry? Continue reading →
Naturally, it wasn’t as easy as that. Su Yan sat in front of his notebook, hands on his keyboard, and stared at the blank page in front of him. Damn. Was this what people called having writer’s block?
“Ugh. I can’t believe it!” Su Yan pushed his notebook away, propped his elbows up on the table and burrowed his face in his hands.
Shit. He had never before experienced something like this. Sure, there had been times where he didn’t know how to continue with one of his stories but that had always been when he was somewhere in the middle with several directions in front of him in which the story could develop. Most of the time, he just had to reread the last few chapters and he would know what to do. In the worst case, he’d just take a look at the comments and see if he found some inspiration there. Su Yan groaned and leaned his head onto Nie Chang’s shoulder. Once again, they had fallen on top of each other. Honestly, this was such an advanced system that could even craft a Special Dimension but it wasn’t able to transport them more gently?!
Nie Chang grimaced, too, but kept silent. His whole attention had already been attracted by the fact that they had just been transported away because Su Yan pushed a button on his phone and that they were in something that could indeed be called a Special Dimension.
“Alright. What happened?” He himself was surprised at how calm he sounded. Continue reading →
“Ah … Ah Chang! What are you doing?” Su Yan tried to slap those wandering hands away but only managed to lose his balance. He fell down on Nie Chang’s chest again and was encircled in a pair of strong arms.
“You made me really worried, you know?”
“Oh.” Su Yan pursed his lips. So that Special Dimension wasn’t outside of the timeline and he had been gone for a while. Thankfully, he had hurried up with the test and not taken his time. Continue reading →
