RMN C536 Worth a Try

While Shen Lei had trouble falling asleep, the others entered blue butterfly’s dreamscape one after the other. This time, since everyone was still there anyway, they also had Mei Chao Bing and Yun Bei Fen, as well as the other guardians, enter. Only Elder Baili stayed outside in the courtyard to guard until his first disciple came back.

Yun Bei Fen naturally clung to his fiance but Mei Chao Bing pulled him over to the guardians and Luo Lin. Even though this experiment was mostly about his third senior martial brother’s ability, if they figured things out, it would also profit Yun Bei Fen. Thus, it was best to listen closely.

Yun Bei Fen looked at him with big eyes and hugged him more tightly. Here at the border region, this was a rare opportunity for him. He had to make use of it so he wouldn’t miss out!

Mei Chao Bing reached up and rubbed his head but his gaze moved to the black warrior. It seemed like he was the person most likely to figure out the abilities. At the very least, he seemed to have the deepest understanding of the abilities, maybe due to the fact that he was the one who had discovered his the earliest.

Tong Chen realized that he was being watched and turned to Mei Chao Bing, slightly raising his brows.

Mei Chao Bing could only smile apologetically but then realized that the black warrior might not be able to interpret his features that closely. He hesitated for a moment but finally spoke up. “Guardian … based on senior martial brother Luo’s ability, do you think we will be able to figure out how Fen’er can use his?”

Tong Chen gave a hum. “Figuring out the theory shouldn’t be difficult. The problem is whether he can put it into practice as well.” He might not have tried teaching Yun Bei Fen himself but he had seen how troublesome it had been for Yan Jian Hong to teach him even a single skill.

Apparently, the main problem lay in his comprehension ability so learning something that required him to understand the theory would be troublesome. If it turned out to be easier than imagined though and if his third senior martial brother knew him well enough to find a good way to explain, then it could also be different. In short, it was hard to say before they hadn’t thoroughly tested Luo Lin’s copied ability.

Mei Chao Bing nodded. Right, there wasn’t much they could do right now. He turned to look at Luo Lin who was standing alone, waiting for his lover. It seemed that Shen Lei was having trouble falling asleep?

Blue butterfly also realized that they were currently only waiting for Shen Lei. She opened up the side of the dreamscape and looked out to see what was going on. Seeing him with his eyes closed but realizing that his state wasn’t right, she could only sigh and close the window. “Seems like we’ll have to wait a bit longer.”

Luo Lin pursed his lips, wondering what was going on. Shen Lei wouldn’t be too excited lying next to him, right? Actually, thinking about it, this might be a problem. But then again, they had been busy the whole night and Shen Lei should be tired as well. Was it really so difficult to fall asleep?

Tong Chen turned to Luo Lin and cleared his throat. “Disciple Luo, since we still have to wait for disciple Shen, how about you try to explain to your junior martial brother how the copied ability worked? This way, maybe he can also make some progress.”

Luo Lin nodded and walked over to Yun Bei Fen’s side. Looking at his innocent expression, he wasn’t entirely sure how to explain though. “Mn …” He thought of the feeling he had when he projected Shen Lei’s appearance and then tried to find some important points.

“When copying your ability, it seemed important to imagine what I wanted to project very closely. The closer it is to reality, the better. But I can also do a rough projection which will require less spiritual energy. For this, just the general height and shape is enough.”

Yun Bei Fen nodded but he still couldn’t really imagine it. He raised a hand like he had seen Luo Lin do it earlier and tried to do the same as his third senior martial brother. Unfortunately, nothing happened.

Tong Chen narrowed his eyes. At this moment, Yun Bei Fen and Luo Lin were both in a dream state. This meant that they didn’t have any spiritual energy at their disposal, not even the reserves in their own bodies. Most likely, Yun Bei Fen had just tried to use his spiritual energy but it hadn’t worked. Now, the question was whether he’d be able to use the energy of the dimension the dreamscape connected to.

He pondered for a moment and finally spoke up. “Disciple Yun, do you remember the last time you came here in a dream? At that time, your first senior martial brother showed you some sword skills that you were supposed to repeat. Do you still remember the skills?”

Yun Bei Fen blinked his eyes, not getting the jump from Luo Lin’s explanation to the black warrior’s question. Still, he nodded. “I do!” Anyway, he might not be that smart but his memory was pretty good.

“Can you demonstrate one of them for me again?”

Yun Bei Fen nodded, reluctantly let go of Mei Chao Bing, and went to showcase one of the skills again.

Tong Chen watched closely. His own memory wasn’t bad either but he couldn’t say for sure how accurate it was. Still, it looked quite professional so Yun Bei Fen should have copied it well. In that case, maybe what he had just thought of would indeed work. It would only require him to introduce the idea to Yun Bei Fen step by step in the same way that Yan Jian Hong had explained the skill he wanted him to learn earlier. Anyway, it was worth a try.
