OMF V9C48 Is That Legit?

Leng Jin Yu stiffened under Fu Min’s gaze, wondering if he had just let something slip that he shouldn’t. Thinking about it, he soon realized that most likely, it had been the use of Qiu Ling’s name that threw his adviser off.

Realizing this, he relaxed. There were some things that couldn’t be exposed but his relationship with Qiu Ling wasn’t necessarily one of them. After all, Qiu Ling had always been a little unorthodox in how he dealt with matters so him being close with an ascended deity wasn’t that strange. Especially so if that ascended deity had some kind of relationship with Jing He’s family and was also married to somebody of the dragon race. No, actually, it seemed quite normal that their relationship might be close.

With that knowledge at the back of his head, he merely raised his brows at Fu Min. “So, what about that room? It has really been a long day.”

Fu Min gave a hum, then turned back to Jinde, feeling that he was probably the one between these two who usually made the decisions. It was a bit like with him and his own husband. “What kind of room would you like?”

“Well, something close by.” He had asked Ai Hua about which of the rooms was Qiu Ling’s and if he was honest, he would’ve liked to take the one right next to him but, unfortunately, that was impossible because the rooms of his advisers were already distributed around it.

Thus, he could only take something that was a little further away. Unless, of course, he just took An Bai’s room. But he felt that this would be a little mean. And even though he didn’t necessarily think that An Bai would say anything if he did that, he still didn’t want to do that to somebody he regarded as a child. You didn’t even steal candy from a child, much less their home.

He thought for a moment and then motioned around them. “Somewhere on the corridor would be nice. You know, if I am to take over adviser An Bai’s tasks, then it would be good to be close by. Who knows what kind of documents I might need that he still has in his study? Also, it would be much easier to redirect people to me when they come to his study as if I was further away.”

Fu Min really couldn’t argue with that explanation. It made sense. But he still felt that, most likely, there was something more to this. It definitely couldn’t be that simple. It just wasn’t normal that a guy he didn’t know suddenly turned up on his doorstep, telling him that he would take over An Bai’s work and also knew exactly what was going on with their king. This guy was better informed than he was!

Well, he would figure that out slowly. “I guess, there still are some free rooms down the corridor. You’re really lucky there. It’s not like there are often vacancies opening up here.”

Jinde smiled and already wanted to follow him when his gaze suddenly slipped to Fu Heng. Qiu Ling himself had never mentioned that any of his advisers were a couple so unless it had just slipped his mind, this was probably a more recent development. In other words, there had to be a free room pretty close by.

Fu Heng raised his brows at him, not quite sure what to make of that gaze. “Is something the matter?”

Jinde gave a hum, wondering for a moment how to say it. In the end, he just cut straight to the chase. “The two of you shouldn’t have married that long ago, right? What’s with your old room? Is it still available? You know, down the corridor sounds lovely but it would be even more lovely to have a room as close by as possible.”

Fu Heng and Fu Min exchanged a glance, not quite sure what to make of this. It was one thing to give them a room on the same corridor but a room that was pretty much right next to their king’s seemed to be a bit too much. After all, no matter how plausible his words sounded, there was still some risk involved.

“I’m afraid that one is impossible to be moved into right now. So at least for the time being, you’ll have to make do with another one.”

Jinde looked at Fu Min, feeling miffed that he was treated this way. It really would’ve been easier if the person in question had been Xiang Yong who knew exactly who he was. That guy definitely wouldn’t have dared to treat him like this. “What’s the problem with the room? I don’t mind if it’s not that tidy. We can get to that starting tomorrow. Anyway, it will take some time to adjust to how we would like it.”

“That …” Fu Min narrowed his eyes at him and then raised a hand. “Wait a moment.” Then, he patted his husband’s stomach, signaling him to stay exactly where he was and keep a close eye on these two, and walked back into their room. In there, he immediately took out a transmission stone and contacted Xiang Yong. If somebody would know what was going on, it would be him.

Xiang Yong had also moved into one of the empty rooms in the palace in the Nine Heavens and had originally been about to go to bed. When his transmission stone lit up, he sat up with a sigh, feeling that he really never got a break to himself.

His brows shot up when the person whose face finally appeared after accepting the transmission was Fu Min. “What’s the matter? Don’t tell me something happened in the dragon realm.” Right now, he really didn’t want to have to deal with that. It was bad enough that they had so many troubles over here and now also needed to worry about that demon.

Fu Min raised his brows, feeling that it was no wonder that the beauty from just now had said not to disturb anyone. It seemed Xiang Yong really felt disturbed. Well, he couldn’t change it. “Somebody came and said he was supposed to take over An Bai’s tasks. He’s trying to moving into Fu Heng’s old room. Is this legit?”

Xiang Yong furrowed his brows, not having heard any of that. But then, upon thinking of where Fu Heng’s room was, he suddenly figured that there probably was a person who might like to have that room. “Well, what was his name?”

Fu Min stared blankly. He had been so distracted by that guy’s looks that he hadn’t even asked for his name. “Give me a moment to ask.” He opened the door, poked his head out, and looked at Jinde. “What did you say your name was?”

Jinde chuckled. “Jiang Li. And this is my husband, Leng Jin Yu. Did you contact one of the other advisers? I’m afraid they won’t know about my task yet as His Majesty only gave it to me after arriving in the dragon realm. They do know however that I followed him over here.”

Hearing the voice, Xiang Yong felt a bit uncomfortable. “Fu Min, just give them the room. No need to worry. I’m sure His Majesty will explain to you tomorrow. Or whenever he gets around to it. Give it some time. Things … happened.”

With that, he decided that he didn’t want to have any more part in this and hurriedly cut the connection, lying down to sleep. He didn’t think that Fu Min would dare to just contact him again. No, that guy should better deal with matters on his own end.
