OMF V9C243 Are Junior Martial Sisters Acceptable?

Niu Hai felt as if he was flying when he stepped out of the study. Yes, he might not be able to get with Jing Yi but as he had thought before, there would be other opportunities. No, right now, this was just about being relied on. Who wouldn’t like that feeling?

He had to make sure that he was doing a very good job so that Jing Yi would always feel that he could come to him when he needed something. And so that he could tell everyone else about it, of course. After all, it was his long-standing wish to finally find somebody to share this life of his with.

Meanwhile, Jing Yi turned back to Yue Lin. “Did he take it very badly when that with Zheng Yin happened?” Even though Niu Hai might not have said much he had looked a little strange at that time.

Yue Lin looked up, not the least bit looking as if he was concerned about Niu Hai’s state. “Don’t worry about it. Honestly, it’s a regular occurrence with him. As soon as he finds out that a new disciple joined, he will go and check them out. If he feels that they are cute, he will go and try his luck. And he can’t be called choosy so it’s almost every new disciple of acceptable age as long as they’re not those big and burly guys joining his own division.

“Either way, those disciples usually aren’t too happy about it. Either it’s somebody like you who is already in a relationship, somebody like Zheng Yin who already has somebody else in his heart, or someone who is just not interested in a relationship with him like that junior martial brother Nian back then. They’ll fall in love with somebody else who is more mature about it and won’t go like a bull at a gate.”

Jing Yi raised his brows. “Junior martial brother Nian?” That wouldn’t have happened to be Nian Hong Fang, right? No, that would be too coincidental!

Even though he told himself that, he couldn’t help but feel that, actually, it fit the bill. Anyway, he had been a spy here in the Hei Dian Sect and it wouldn’t be completely impossible that he might have met Ma Zhi Wu here either. After all, who was to say that the righteous sects could only have one spy in a demonic sect at a time?

Yue Lin looked back up at him and slowly nodded. “That was his name, yes. Now that you mention it, I think he was from the Yun Zou Sect as well. You probably know him.”

Jing Yi glanced toward the door behind him and gave a wry smile. “I do happen to know him and, in fact, we’re acquaintances. He is one of the people I invited for that gathering.”

Yue Lin couldn’t help but laugh. “Oh, did you invite his lover as well?”

Jing Yi nodded, feeling bad about it. He hadn’t known about this kind of inside story and he never would’ve expected that there was one. Now, he couldn’t help but wonder if he shouldn’t have worried about this being a meeting between disciples of the righteous and the demonic sect at all and more about the interpersonal relationships between everyone.

Yes, he somehow felt that he would get a headache at that meeting. But then, Nian Hong Fang and Ma Zhi Wu were both very mature so they should know how to deal with this. And who knew? Maybe Niu Hai would be able to deal with it as well.

Thinking about that, he was still a bit worried though. “Do you think he will be able to take it? I mean … I could imagine that it would be difficult for him to see Nian Hong Fang and his lover together. I don’t want to put him on the spot.” Although, uninviting him also didn’t seem right. That would be like punishing him for not being able to get into a relationship. He was pretty sure that Niu Hai would feel even worse about that.

Yue Lin shook his head. “Honestly, don’t worry about it. If you want to make sure that he doesn’t make trouble, just invite a few cute juniors. He won’t know who to pick.”

Jing Yi raised his brows and pondered if there was someone like that among the people he had invited. Unfortunately, that didn’t seem to be the case. The one who looked the youngest was Xiao Dong and something told him that these two wouldn’t be getting along very well. Not to mention that Niu Hai hadn’t seemed interested in him at all. But then, he really looked too young so that wasn’t strange either.

As for everyone else, well, they were older and well-established disciples so he didn’t think that they would fit the bill either. Thinking of younger people … there only seemed to be Hong Bao. “Well, are cute junior martial sisters also alright?”

Yue Lin raised his brows, surprised that he actually had somebody in mind. “I don’t see a problem with it. As I said, Niu Hai really isn’t choosy. His luck in that regard isn’t any better though. Although that might in part be because they are snatched up much faster.”

Jing Yi nodded and then figured that it might be alright. He wasn’t completely sure but he felt that Hong Bao shouldn’t be with Liu Cheng anymore after the thing with the demon-hunting sects had happened. Not that that meant that she would actually be interested but at least there shouldn’t be any awkwardness because she also wanted to bring her lover.

Speaking of Liu Cheng though, he should probably check whether he wasn’t a part of her life anymore or not. Having Ma Zhi Wu and that guy in the same room after what had happened was simply impossible. Thankfully, he would go to the Grandmaster’s palace in a bit anyway. He could just ask him or his wife. Surely, they would know what was going on in Hong Bao’s life.

Speaking of which … he should be on the way. He gave Yue Lin a smile and then motioned to the door. “Speaking of that junior martial sister, I still need to invite her so Xiao Dong and I should probably leave. Anyway, you’re looking like you are really busy so it wouldn’t do to take up even more of your free time.”

Yue Lin sighed and nodded slowly. “Yes, go and invite her fast. The sooner you do, the sooner you can come back and help me out here. Really, I was so happy when I found you back then, but then, shortly after, you actually left. How am I going to find somebody else? They’re all a bunch of fools here.”

Jing Yi could only smile wryly. “I’m afraid I can’t help there. I need to return soon so I can only help for a bit.”

Yue Lin waved, not really having expected him to do more than that. In fact, he was already happy that Jing Yi was willing to help out a little. Considering that he had basically tricked him into helping back then, that was already a lot. “Don’t mention it. Just go and organize things. It will be nice to get out here for at least a few hours for once. So don’t mess up your preparation!”

“Sure thing!” With that, Jing Yi got up and walked out of the study with Xiao Dong, finally making his way over to the Grandmaster’s palace.
