OMF V9C256 Go Peacefully

After Qiu Ling had left, he naturally made his way over to the mortal realm and, of course, his first stop was the Yun Zou Sect. After all, where else would Jing Yi go if not there?

Thus, just shortly after shooing away Ye Yang, Zhangsun Xun Yi once again noticed the presence of a powerful individual. He furrowed his brows and rushed back over there, fully expecting to either find that the man from before had returned or that the person he had been looking for had arrived at their sect instead. Seeing Qiu Ling, he actually didn’t know how to react.

Qiu Ling also looked at him, feeling a bit lost. He had gone to this place because it was where Jing Yi and he had lived together last. But, of course, Jing Yi wouldn’t have been able to get in there. He should have known that he couldn’t find him here. He wasn’t sure where else to look either.

Seeing Zhangsun Xun Yi, he smiled wryly. “Grandmaster Zhangsun, you wouldn’t have happened to see my lover?” Back then, he had shamelessly called this man ‘Master’, even though he hadn’t actually seen him that way. Now, he didn’t really dare to do so anymore. Maybe after finally taking his own position seriously, he couldn’t act shamelessly as easily anymore.

Zhangsun Xun Yi couldn’t help but think that people sure were active today, looking for their lovers. “I didn’t. What did he come here for?” He might not know how to find the person that demon had been looking for but he figured that finding Qiu Ling’s lover shouldn’t be as hard.

“Well, he seemed to want to bid his farewell?”

Zhangsun Xun Yi had some thoughts on that. It had been a while since Zhong Jing Yi ascended. If he came to bid farewell now instead of right after or even better before the fact, then that meant that this wasn’t about his ascension but about something else. He didn’t really want to look further into that though.

“In that case, you’d probably have the best chance to find him if you went to the people the two of you were acquainted with. Wasn’t he friends with some boys from the outer sect? And what about the Grandelder’s disciple and his lover? I believe you were a little closer to them?”

Qiu Ling faintly raised his brows. Indeed! There were those three. And then also that disciple of the Sect Master. Yes, he would likely be able to find Jing Yi with one of them. “Thank you. Then I’ll go to see him now!”

“Wait!” Zhangsun Xun Yi hastily stopped him before Qiu Ling could rush off. “There is one thing you should know: Just now, there was a man here who seemed to be from the demon race. He was looking for somebody, likely the demon king. I’m afraid that might mean that the latter is currently in the mortal realm. You should watch out.”

Qiu Ling furrowed his brows. That was really the last thing he needed. Jin Ling was usually a pain in the ass but these were the last days he would get to spend with Jing Yi. He didn’t want to be disturbed at this time. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do about that right now, other than keep his eyes open.

“Well, thank you for telling me. I should hurry even more than to find Jing Yi.” Jin Ling had kidnapped his lover once. He couldn’t allow him to do that again. He needed to get there to ensure Jing Yi’s safety!

Zhangsun Xun Yi simply nodded and returned to his own palace as well, hoping that there wouldn’t be another disturbance anytime soon.

As for Qiu Ling, he was still familiar enough with the Yun Zou Sect so he didn’t have much of a problem finding the people he was looking for. Unfortunately, even though he found them, he didn’t find Jing Yi. But at the very least, this time, he managed to get some more specific information about where Jing Yi had gone instead of a mere guess.

“The Hei Dian Sect?” Qiu Ling pursed his lips while flying over there. Come to think of it, that wasn’t too strange either. They might not have stayed there for that long but it had still been a while. And Jing Yi had spent most of his time in the mortal realm with only him, Leng Jin Yu, and Jinde if he was being honest. The years he had spent with others humans had only been a few. Why wouldn’t he cherish every day of that time? Unfortunately, that meant that he still needed to find Jing Yi.

Arriving close to the Hei Dian Sect, he stopped in his tracks and first looked around. If Jin Ling was really after Jing Yi, then he would surely be around if Jing Yi was still here. He should try to spot him first so he could take care of him and make sure that Jing Yi wouldn’t be put in danger.

Unfortunately, he could see neither Jin Ling nor Jing Yi from where he was. He furrowed his brows but didn’t think too much. The Hei Dian Sect was big and large parts of it were located in the caves in the mountain. He naturally wouldn’t have an easy time finding somebody here.

Anyway, the important part was that he knew that Jin Ling was likely around while Jin Ling had no idea that he had already followed Jing Yi down to the mortal realm. He should make use of that and stay hidden for a while longer to catch him off-guard. Even though this meant having to wait a while longer until he could pull Jing Yi into his arms again, it was worth it if it meant keeping him safe. Yes, especially now that their time together was limited, he wouldn’t let anything happen to him. Jing Yi deserved to … go peacefully.
