OMF V11C422 Ready Or Not?

Qiu Ling didn’t know what his husband was thinking. Looking at the four people in front of them who had quietly waited while the dragons made a ruckus, he motioned at the palace. “You’ve been waiting for a long time. Let’s go in. Mother-in-law and uncle-in-law are going to stay for a few days, right?”

Bai Fen immediately nodded. She definitely didn’t want to go home and look at her own husband’s grumpy face. And there was no doubt that Rong Su’s face would be the grumpiest she had ever seen. After all, their son had married the man he disliked against his wishes and then he had even been made to shut up with his complaints by Tian himself. How could he put on a pleasant expression now? No, she’d rather give him a few days until the worst was dealt with, although it was tough to say how many days that would need.

Qiang Yan nodded along. He was worried about the subsequent actions of his brother-in-law as well. Needless to say, Rong Su would never dare to complain all that much in front of his wife but the same thing couldn’t be said for him. When he went back, he was afraid he’d have hell to pay for being involved in this scheme to get Jing He married behind his father’s back.

Even though hiding out in the dragon realm for a few days wouldn’t solve the issue, at least it was a small delay before he had to deal with it. He would use the time to accompany his son and daughter-in-law and care for this relationship more which could otherwise only be developed through the transmission stone he had given to Bai Mu and a few short visits.

Needless to say, with Jing He’s family agreeing, the group went inside. After all, Jinde and Leng Jin Yu lived in the palace anyway so with the common people having had some time dedicated to them, it was only normal to return home now. Not that all of them would spend more time together now. Obviously, the newly wedded couple would want some private time.

Qiang Yan glanced at his nephew again, thinking of the conversation he had tried to have with him this morning. He really hadn’t done well with it and had only managed to make both of them feel embarrassed without accomplishing anything. Hopefully, Jing He would be alright despite that. But then, Qiu Ling loved him so much. He should take care later on …

Qiang Yan’s thoughts trailed off and he barely kept himself from grimacing. Really, was this a matter of feelings? In that regard, he didn’t have to worry but knowledge and experience could be an issue. After all, the dragons were even more strictly monogamous than the gods, weren’t they? He also wasn’t that familiar with their habits but from the little that he had seen, having one partner throughout your whole life seemed to be the norm. There was hardly any experience to be had before you met the one you wanted to marry. So … did Qiu Ling actually know these things any better than his nephew?

His feelings on the matter were complicated but Qiang Yan had no idea what to do with them. He could hardly bring it up in front of everyone, could he? No, even if his sister and the dragons wouldn’t mind, his nephew would be mortified if he did. That definitely wasn’t the mood to put him in before things actually happened.

Qiang Yan glanced at Leng Jin Yu and Jinde, wondering if he could ask about this later. If he did and found out that Qiu Ling was more familiar with these things than Jing He, he could at least rest assured. If not though … could they still pull him aside before anything else happened?

His troubled expression didn’t escape his sister. Bai Fen raised her brows and already wanted to ask when she reconsidered. If her brother looked like this, who knew what was going on? It would be best not to discuss in front of her son. Jing He’s thoughts should be full of the wedding. It wouldn’t do to dampen the mood no matter what was going on.

Leng Jin Yu was walking on Qiang Yan’s other side and also caught a glimpse of his changing facial expressions. He looked for a moment longer, his own gaze turning inquisitive.

Qiang Yan naturally noticed his line of sight but could only smile wryly. There was no way to explain this. Not with Qiu Ling and Jing He walking directly in front of them. He didn’t think that Leng Jin Yu would pick up on what he meant without saying anything though. It seemed he could only forget about it for now and maybe ask later.

The six of them walked into the palace and made their way toward the inner rooms. On the way, they naturally passed through the throne room. The door to the adjacent room was still open and General Min Jun could be seen sitting at the table.

Qiu Ling’s steps slowed down and he finally halted. Even though he wanted nothing more than to be alone with his beloved now, this was a matter that was better dealt with as soon as possible. Since he was already here, he probably shouldn’t ignore it.

He sighed and turned to Jing He, brushing through his hair with his fingers. “My love, why don’t you go back to our room with the others first? I’ll have a chat with the general first.” He faintly motioned over to where the person in question had raised his head and was now looking at them as well.

Jing He glanced over there and nodded. “Of course.” He didn’t know exactly what was happening with the generals but he trusted Qiu Ling and he could wait. In fact, he was quite happy. This would give him the chance to sort out his own thoughts so he would indeed be ready when Qiu Ling returned.
