OMF V11C73 Living with a Fallen God Is Not Easy

Leng Jin Yu glanced at everyone and realized that the God of Justice was still missing. He wasn’t sure if he should start speaking despite this being the case or wait until the last person arrived as well. On the one hand, he’d rather have everyone be there when he explained the matter. On the other hand, three of the people currently gathered were Jing He’s family members. Naturally, they wanted to get the news as soon as possible.

Just when he thought to ask the God of War for his opinion, steps sounded from inside and Li Yin walked in with a frown.

In fact, he would have been there earlier but a few hours ago, Leng Lu had suddenly appeared in his palace and refused to leave him out of his sight. When a messenger arrived to ask him to go to the Heavenly Emperor’s palace, this got even worse. He had needed a good five minutes to talk his lover out of making a fuss before he could finally come over so, naturally, he was the last to arrive.

Li Yin didn’t say anything and simply nodded at everyone else. He could guess with the tip of his little finger that this matter concerned the crown prince and the dragon king so it didn’t have much to do with himself. It was enough to stand aside and silently listen. Well, maybe he’d have to be the voice of reason considering everyone else was emotionally invested in this.

Seeing that everyone had finally arrived, Leng Jin Yu didn’t waste a moment’s time and directly stated what had happened. “Qiu Ling woke up earlier and went out to find Jing He. He managed to locate him in the High Heavens. The man who the guards saw take him away turned out to be Tian himself which is how he ended up there. Qiu Ling confirmed that Jing He has fallen but he is not yet awake. While this is bad news, Qiu Ling had the chance to speak to Tian who assured him that there was a way for him to turn into a trueborn god again.”

Leng Jin Yu managed to succinctly state everything but the shocks following one after the other rendered the Heavenly Couple speechless. Even Qiang Yan who had heard half of it already was stunned when he heard the last part.

The person who immediately reacted was actually Li Yin who had thought he would only stand aside. “Turn a fallen god into a trueborn god again?” Don’t kid him! How could this be possible? But then … if it was Tian himself who said this, maybe there was a chance?

He thought of Leng Lu and the way he had stared at him earlier. He wasn’t sure what had set him off this time, but his paranoia had seemed worse than usual. This happened from time to time and while he hadn’t attacked anyone after the day they first met again as gods, it was always an unwelcome reminder of Leng Lu’s current state and how one day, he could truly slip into insanity and try to enact revenge on whoever he deemed responsible for the issues he faced at the time.

This risk, Li Yin had always been aware of it. He knew that as the God of Justice, he should find a way to kill Leng Lu as soon as there was a chance because he was too much of a threat and this threat wouldn’t diminish as he was left unchecked. On the contrary, with him and Ru Zhen around, things might get worse. After all, who could say what Leng Lu would do if anything happened to either of them? Most likely, it wouldn’t be pretty.

If there was a way to have Leng Lu become a trueborn god again … naturally, he wanted to know. If this was true, they could finally be a normal couple. They wouldn’t have to hide. Leng Lu could walk into his palace openly or they could go and visit any of the places in the Nine Heavens or the other immortal realms. Even the mortal realm wouldn’t be off-limits. They could be seen by others, hold hands, even acknowledge that he was Ru Zhen’s other parents. Why wouldn’t he want this?

It was just … he had little hope that this was the truth. Leng Lu had never said anything and if he knew, he certainly would have. After all, wouldn’t he also want these things? He had always seemed unhappy with how things currently were. Surely, if he could change their circumstances, he also would. But if even he himself didn’t know, then could there be such a possibility?

Leng Jin Yu had waited for somebody to question this so he inclined his head. “It seems to be true. Qiu Ling is still in the High Heavens right now and he is the one who talked directly to Tian and knows all the details. I would suggest that I open a transmission so he can answer your questions directly.”

Li Yin didn’t even wait for the Heavenly Emperor to gain back his bearing and simply nodded. He also walked forward while he was at it, intending to ask all the questions he had. He knew this was risky behavior but … he couldn’t help it. Being in love with a fallen god really wasn’t easy. If their situation could be turned around, he would naturally grasp that opportunity in his hands.

Leng Jin Yu wasn’t too concerned with the hierarchy in the Nine Heavens. Seeing that somebody had agreed, he immediately took out his transmission stone, imbued his spiritual energy, and contacted Qiu Ling.

At this time, the person in question was still chatting with Jinde. Seeing the other stone pulse, he hummed and hurriedly bid goodbye before accepting the newly received communication request. Seeing both Leng Jin Yu and the God of Justice on the other side, he faintly raised his brows. The former was expected, the latter … not so much. If anything, he would have thought to see the Heavenly Empress or the Heavenly Emperor instead. It seemed like this would become interesting.
