Luo Lin and Shen Lei stared at Blue Butterfly in a daze. Even though she had always seemed like the most unconventional among the four guardians, this was still a bit … well, there wasn’t really a good word to describe it.

Shen Lei’s lips twitched. “I hope we are not disturbing you, Senior Blue Butterfly.”

Long Shu Fen blinked her eyes, sighed, threw another handful of dirt at the pile next to her, and then climbed out of the hole. Standing out in the open, it became clear that her robe was even dirtier than her face, not to mention her hands. She didn’t seem to notice though and instead enthusiastically moved through her dreamscape to appear on their side of the lake, looking at them with sparkling eyes. “This is the first time I have gotten a visitor in a long time! What are you doing here? Don’t tell me the battle already ended?”

The couple exchanged another glance, their expressions turning solemn. Even if the current situation was weird, it wasn’t important at all. No, they had come here for a reason.

Luo Lin was the one who had spoken to Zhi Guan originally so he also took the initiative to inform Blue Butterfly of the favor he wanted to ask her.

“Just bringing them back?” She nodded at once, her own expression also serious after having heard what had happened in the border region. “Of course, I can do that. Since … well, since they’re not alive any longer, it’s actually really easy. They don’t have to enter the right mindset to get in, after all.”

Reinforcements would be really helpful now but … we hardly have the time to get everyone there.”

Blue Butterfly looked at him and nodded. “I know what you mean. Since you don’t know when the attack will happen, it’s tough to be certain that they’d arrive in time.” She sighed but then simply waved at them. “Let’s go back to the border region first. I can start moving the disciples and take a look at everything while I’m at it. Knowing more about the situation, it’ll be easier to communicate. Maybe there is something we can do.”

She didn’t mention it but, of course, there was the chance to bring a few people over. While not everyone was able to enter her dreamscape easily, the higher the level and the higher the perception, the easier it was to do. Even if not everyone could be brought over, there should at least be a few people in each sect and every single person counted at this point, right? Maybe … maybe she could even grab the other three and they could fight on the battlefield just like in old times. She’d like that, although she doubted the four great sects would allow it.

Since Luo Lin couldn’t let another person apart from Shen Lei enter his dreamscape but Blue Butterfly needed the two of them as her guides, she opened up her own dreamscape and pulled them in. Thankfully, due to Luo Lin’s copied ability, it actually wasn’t difficult and they set off after a mere moment.

On the way, Shen Lei gave her a more detailed overview of the situation, explaining the battle they had just fought, the plan they had made, and also the battle they were expecting afterward.

Luo Lin used the opportunity to also mention his little junior and Mei Chao Bing.

Blue Butterfly’s expression had been solemn the whole time but after hearing the last bit, her brows furrowed tightly. “That is to say that we’re doomed. Wasn’t he the one person they needed for this plan to work?”
