The car seemed to fall even quieter. Si Yi wasn’t quite sure if he showed furrow his brows because he was hearing the same thing twice the same day but still couldn’t figure out what it meant which made him seriously reconsider his intellect, of if he should be less worried instead because, apparently, Si Shi Er and his boyfriend weren’t able to figure it out either.

The one who finally managed to pull himself out of his confusion first was actually Si Shi Er’s boyfriend. “Ha? But he’s dating me!” He really didn’t know what was going on but that had seriously sounded like a proposition right there. And he definitely wouldn’t let his boyfriend just go and date some other man. Although he had to admit that this one was good-looking. Actually, now that he thought about it …

His eyes lit up, making Si Shi Er on the backseat worry. He figured that he had to do something. He looked from Si Jin to his boyfriend and back again and finally realized that most likely, his boyfriend still hadn’t gotten what exactly was going on or who these people were. Well, it was about time to clue him in. “Master, I have no idea what you’re talking about! Can I get a word more? Or maybe two?”

His boyfriend’s confusion seemed to clear up somewhat. He sized up the man next to his boyfriend before turning to Si Yi next to him, giving him a look as well. Finally, he seemed to realize that there was something else going on other than what he had thought.

At the same time, Si Jin stared at Si Shi Er, feeling like it really was no wonder that he was the number twelve. Well, not that Si Yi had really gotten him today either. He suddenly felt misunderstood. Was this how Si Qi usually felt when he talked to Si Yi? No wonder these two couldn’t manage to get a date.

But since Si Shi Er had at least been able to make clear what he needed to understand him, he finally decided to just talk some more. “How?”

Si Shi Er still wasn’t quite sure what this meant. “Date? How?” He pondered for a moment and then figured that apparently, this was a question on how to date. It didn’t make much sense but then again, his master never did. “Oh well, if you want to date somebody, you should take into consideration what they like.”

Si Jin stared at him some more and then turned to the side, finally putting on the seatbelt and staring at the back of the seat in front of him. Consider what they like … Ah, wait, that hadn’t been the question.

He turned back, seriously wanting to furrow his brows but finally, every hair stayed in place. “How to get one?”

Once again, Si Shi Er was stumped. His boyfriend was dumbfounded as well but he at least managed to blink his doe eyes again and then leaned a little further over his seat, feeling that this was a conversation he could get behind. “When Brother Ling asked me out, he was stuttering a lot. You should try to avoid that!”

Si Jin turned to look at him, surprised that this boy would actually be able to provide him with the answer that he apparently needed.

Si Shi Er’s boyfriend felt encouraged when he apparently had Si Jin’s attention even though he wasn’t quite sure what that non-expression really meant but he still went ahead, telling himself that this guy probably just had some kind of facial paralysis. Didn’t all important people? As his boyfriend’s boss who was at the top of some important organization, this was really no wonder. Neither was his inability to get a date for himself. At the very least, that was what he told himself.

“You know, he was really difficult to understand. Ah Ling had to repeat himself three times before I got it. So, get out a clear sentence. That’s important!”

Si Jin figured that this was good advice so he deigned to ask some more. “And?”

Si Shi Er’s boyfriend wasn’t too sure what that might mean but he figured that just talking a bit more couldn’t hurt. Maybe the point hadn’t been quite clear yet. “Well, I think you can be pretty straightforward. Just something like ‘Would you like to go on a date with me?’ or maybe ‘Do you have time on Saturday?’ If you use a specific day, you need to make clear afterward that that is a date though. Like, if he says yes, then you can say something like ‘Great! Then it’s a date!’, you know?”

Since he was asked directly, Si Jin actually nodded. That really hadn’t been difficult. If he didn’t understand that, he wasn’t quite sure if he would be able to date Xiao Ming. But this opened up another question. “When to ask?”

Si Shi Er glanced at his master, not sure if he should be angry that he hadn’t gotten a full sentence or happy that his boyfriend had. This was probably a step toward his boyfriend being accepted as his official partner, right?

Ah, he had waited so long for this! Soon enough, that Si Shi Qi wouldn’t be the only one married among them. Well, although there were some problems with that considering they were both men. But he wouldn’t be discouraged by that. Laws and all that, in any case, the Si clan didn’t care about that too much.

Meanwhile, his boyfriend seriously pondered Si Jin’s question. “When … Well, it’s best if it’s a romantic moment. Like, imagine the sun is going down, everything is shrouded in warm, dimmed light, and maybe you’re walking down a beach. Beaches are always romantic!”

Si Jin thought about some beaches he had seen and wasn’t sure if he agreed to that last part but then maybe his perception was off. He wasn’t that much of a romantic after all.

Si Shi Er’s boyfriend figured that he still had his attention since Si Jin hadn’t looked away even once so he continued on. “Well, I guess you won’t always have a beach ready. It doesn’t need to be that big either. Actually, any kind of intimate situation is okay. Like, imagine if you were meeting at college.”

“He’s not in college.”

“Oh, he isn’t? Well, then maybe at work!”

Si Shi Er refrained from telling him that his master also didn’t go to work because other people worked for him and that young master Xiao was his own boss and only had two colleagues that were unchangeable so there was no way they would ever work together. But still, his master would probably be able to make something out of whatever his boyfriend told him. The basics should be enough.

“Anyway, if you’re working on something together and you’re focused on it and maybe sitting really close since you share some materials, then that’s a great opportunity. Just being close, you know?”

Si Jin wasn’t quite as sure this time but he figured that it still somewhat made sense so he gave another nod.

Si Shi Er’s boyfriend was satisfied with that and nodded as well. “Great! Anyway, it’s not that deep. So, you just have to make sure that it’s intimate, then pose the question, and just go from there.

“For example, if he’s not available on the day you asked about, then you can still ask if there is some other day that would work better for him. If he directly says no though … well, then maybe you should drop it. Although some guys like to be pursued a little longer.”

Si Jin pondered that for a moment. “How to tell?” Because he really didn’t know what Xiao Ming would prefer. Not that he was hopeful that he would get to ask the question anytime soon.

Si Shi Er’s boyfriend thought about that for a bit longer. “Mn … well, it’s hard to say. I guess you can only try it out? If he gets angry when you try to push, then he definitely didn’t like it. If he seems to soften with that approach, then he does like it. Although he might not want to admit that. It’s really hard to tell.”

Si Jin had the faint thought that this really sucked. He definitely wasn’t the kind of person that was able to understand this kind of thing at a glance. And he probably wouldn’t be able to take a timeout and ask somebody else to figure it out for him. But in any case, he was slowly getting closer there. Although it still did not answer the real question. “How to make him interested?”

At this, Si Shi Er’s boyfriend blinked his eyes some more. “How to make him interested? Well, I guess with your looks?” In any case, save for the cold appearance, this guy in front of him was a stunner.

He had definitely always thought that his own boyfriend was already top-notch but in comparison, the other two men in the car were a league above him. Not that that would change anything about how much he loved him. His brother Ling was definitely the best. He smiled goofily at that thought, turning to his boyfriend.

Si Shi Er had no idea what was going on anymore but he reflexively smiled back.

Si Jin watched them, figuring that this was precisely what he wanted. Well, maybe minus the goofy grin because he probably wouldn’t be able to do that. But looking into each other’s eyes like that, knowing what was on the other person’s mind, that was the kind of thing he wanted. But he was afraid that Si Shi Er’s boyfriend might not be right with that last tip. “What if looks aren’t enough?”

Si Shi Er’s boyfriend turned back to him, looking a little unsure. “Well, then get to know him first and see what else he might like about you? In any case, I’m sure there’s something interesting about you.”

Si Jin didn’t say anything about that and just turned back to staring at the back of Si Yi’s seat. Something interesting about him … It seemed that this had led him right back to the starting point.

While he had gained some valuable information, it hadn’t answered the most important question of how to make himself interesting. But something told him that this guy wouldn’t be able to help him with that either.

Maybe he had still chosen the wrong person to ask for advice. Not that Si Shi Er had helped much. Although, he had to say that he had managed to find a good boyfriend for himself. At the very least, he was able to shed some light on the important things. That was already worth a lot.

As for the question that was left to answer … well, if Si Yi wouldn’t work and Si Shi Er wouldn’t work, there were still another eighteen ninjas in the clan that might be a better choice. And when it came to interesting things … He might have an idea or who else would be a good possibility.

He took out his phone and send another message to Si Er before he showed the new coordinates to Si Yi so he could drive over there. This time, he really wasn’t sure what to expect. But if he remembered right, then Si San had left the house rather early before anybody else had so he probably had something very special planned. And he was quite interested to find out what that was. Because maybe, that would already give him a hint as to what he could do about his own problem right now.
